1 Day - Jerusalem (Including Dead Sea)
By Bus and Plane
Experience 5000 years of history all in a single day.
Our 1 day tour to Jerusalem begins with an early drive through the Arava Valley and Negev Desert with a stop at the lowest point on earth for a float in the Dead Sea.
At the point where the desert gives way to rolling green hills, we enter the Eternal City and drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view over the Old City and City of King David. We then descend via the Garden of Gethsemane and the Kidron Valley to the Old City, walking along the cobblestone streets to the Western Wall - Judaism's holiest site.
Trace Jesus' last journey along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and visit the Room of the Last Supper and the Roman Cardo. Drive through the new part of the city, passing by the Knesset (Israel's Parliament) before leaving for the airport and a flight back to Eilat.
1 Day - Massada, Dead Sea & Ein Gedi Spa
The day begins with a drive through the Arava valley and Negev Desert to Massada, a mountain-top fortress in the midst of the desert overlooking the Dead Sea and famous as the last stronghold of the rebels against the Romans.
Ascend by cable car and visit the ruins including King Herod's Winter Palace, the Synagogue, living quarters, bakery and hot baths with spectacular mosaics, whilst re-living the tragic story with explanations from your guide.
Continue along the shores of the Dead Sea to Kibbutz Ein Gedi for a buffet lunch, then on to the Ein Gedi Spa to relax in hot springs and sulphur pools at the lowest point on earth. Cover yourself with the famous therapeutic black mud of the Dead Sea and spend the afternoon experiencing the unique floating sensation in the Dead Sea before transferring back to your hotel.
Timna Park
This tour takes you through the Arava Valley and Negev Desert to Timna Park, home to ancient copper mines that have been in use across the millennia since the 6th century BC until only 40 years ago. Visit the Mushroom, The Arches, King Solomon's Pillars and other geological structures amidst stunning desert scenery. Enjoy a tea or coffee at a Bedouin tent and press King Solomon's coins from copper, or make your own coloured sand bottles as souvenirs.
Living in the Desert
In the summer of 1909, a handful of young men and women left the Kinneret Agricultural Training Farm and headed across the mouth of the swampy Jordan River to establish what has become one of the most interesting social experiments in farm settlement - a Kibbutz.
Today, almost a century later, over 250 Kibbutzim exist across Israel, transforming the nation's landscape and creating a unique democratic way of life.
Kibbutz Tour
Depart Eilat driving north along the Rift Valley to Kibbutz Yotvata, the first Kibbutz established in the Arava which began as a military outpost in 1951. With a Kibbutz member, retrace the path of daring hard work and determination that transformed the surrounding desert into fruitful and profitable farm land and learn about the fascinating history and present day kibbutz life as you walk along its paths.
Visit the sophisticated dairy operation - the symbol of Yotvata's success and the kibbutz fields, which show how mechanisation enables Kibbutz members to retain the original value of 'working the land', whilst adapting and experimenting the progress in agriculture. Return to Eilat by early afternoon.
A Day in Cairo - by Bus
We start with a drive through the dramatic Sinai Desert, the Suez Canal Tunnel and arrive in the capital of Egypt.
Arriving in Cairo, we visit the breathtaking Pyramids of Giza, (last surviving remnant of the Seven Wonders of the World), the Sphinx and Valley Temple, followed by lunch overlooking the Pyramids. Visit the Egyptian Museum to marvel at the legendary treasures of Tutankhamun and ancient artefacts from the Land of the Pharaoh and stroll through the Khan el Khalili Bazaar before returning to Eilat.
A wide range of other tours and activities are available.
